Mac OS keyboard text replacement feature doesn't work

I use Mac OS keyboard text replacement feature[1] to expand abbreviations into canonical words. For example, “GH” → GitHub. However, it doesn't work in RubyMine main editor window or inside plugins (GitHub Copilot Chat).

Hi Andrew, thanks for the report. The official guide you shared mentions at the end that the Text Replacement feature isn't supported in all apps, and it doesn't provide a list of apps or types of apps it should work with. I tested and can confirm that the text replacement feature currently does not work in JB IDEs and also not in VS Code, for example, but works in the browser and some other apps.

It may be a third party issue (Apple) however, I did find a related feature request, please feel free to follow it for updates: IJPL-55169 (https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-55169) - Text substitutions on macOS
