Intellij Idea says Undefined step reference for all the steps in cucumber file

Please try the following steps:

1. Update the IntelliJ IDEA to the latest version 2025.3.1;
2. Check updates and update all plugins. Make sure that you have installed (and updated) and enabled all required plugins: Cucumber, Gherkin, Python and PythonDAP plugins;
3. Perform File | Invalidate Caches → Invalidate and Restart;
4. Check this issue again.

If after performing these actions the problem persists, please provide a sample project and IDE logs collected via Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data. Thank you!
 

Hi Aleksandr Nagovitsyn , I followed all the steps that you provided still the steps are not recognized. I dont see an option to upload zip files. How do I share the logs and sample project.

Hi Nishant,

I've tried to reproduce the issue locally with the provided project in both IDEA and PyCharm but no luck so far. 

We have a second report on the same issue, let's move on YT to consolidate our discussion in one place. 

Also, please try disabling Copilot plugin because there are behave-related errors, if it doesn't help - please do File | Manage IDE settings | Export settings and upload the result archive in the YT issue so we can check it with my colleague. 

We also can see this problem. Any ETA for the fix?
