PHPStorm 2026.1.1 will not start wp-env --update --xdebug after upgrading

Using the --debug option caused a great amount of output, but the wp-env start never progressed past “Starting WordPress”  (whereas previously it had completed the Starting WordPress and moved along to “Configuring WordPress” (and then never stopped).

While I was waiting (more than 20mins), I repeatedly used “wp-env logs --watch” which reported no output other than the fact it had completed in a certain amount of time.

Separately, while starting the PHPStorm 2026.1.1 in a bash shell, I observed some warnings as below, and later some exceptions, and I cannot tell if these are connected to my symptom. 

I also tried on a new wp-env environment (i.e. destroyed the previous one and recreated new) but the wp-env start --upgrade --debug , will not complete.

I do not have time to troubleshoot this, so I am forced to revert to the previous version which did not exhibit these symptoms.

I do not know if the 2026.1.1 is able to operate in my environment at present.
