Using Escape key to focus editor stopped working
Escape key when pressed in Services Tool Window or any other Tool Window does not focus editor window.

Would you please try to disable non bundled plugins and test if the issue still persists?
Enabling/Disabling all downloaded plugins can be done from a single setting from Settings | Plugins | gear icon | Disable all downloaded plugins
Could it be the keymap bindings have been changed either by accident, or by a third party plugin?
Please take a screenshot of the current ESC keymap bindings as below (From Settings | Keymap)
Please click on the search shortcut icon and press ESC
If the above does not work restoring the IDE settings to default might also help.
File | Manage IDE Settings | Restore Default Settings ( It is advised to backup the settings before resetting to default)
