phpstorm issue
1. When using PHPStorm installed on Windows to open a project through the right-click menu in WSL2, it always gets stuck in the loading interface. However, opening PHPStorm from the desktop shortcut works normally. This issue occurs in versions 2025.3 and above, but I can use version 2025.2.6.1 without any problems. Additionally, this issue also occurs in PyCharm version 2026.1, but the impact on other versions is currently unknown.
In the 2026.1 version of PHPStorm, assuming we are on the dev branch, we cannot click the update button to pull updates from the remote branch of this branch. However, this function is available in the 2025.3 version. The button in 2026.1 is grayed out and cannot be clicked. I don't know why such a negative update was made

This issue is only reproduced in 2025.3 and later versions.
We have reproduced this issue, and there is an internal bug report tracking this issue. Hope we will address it soon.

It seems your issue is related to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-240184 (Git update is disabled on the active branch)
This issue was fixed in 2026.1.1.
Could you please click the IDE main menu `Help | Check for Updates` to update IDE to 2026.1.1 to see if it helps?

Unfortunately, the mentioned issue is still not fixed. It is tracked in an internal/private report which is not accessible publicly. I will check if we can add you to the watchers list. Could you please advise your YouTrack username?
As a temporary workaround you can use the regular windows launcher or Toolbox App to start PhpStorm and then open the WSL project using File > Open.. option. Sorry for the inconvenience.
