How well does IntelliJ IDEA leverage iMac Pro Xenon Cores ?

We use IntelliJ for a relatively large java/Maven based project with IntelliJ IDEA. Most use Macbook Pros and have a bit of lag time during indexing after a local build. I'm considering an upgrade to an iMac Pro which I hoped could reap performance gains but I know most of the focus on machine reviews have been it's media performance. How much - if anything - should I expect in IntelliJ IDEA performance improvement ?
