I mainly write SQL for analytics/data science purposes. Currently, I've got code everywhere as the BQ UI isn't easy to keep organized. Also, there's no version control built into BQ. I'm hoping that DataGrip will let me connect up to BQ, write several select statements to summarise the data and then store them in version control, without having to continually copy/paste back and forth with the UI.
