Appcode use of High Performance Graphics on Macbook Pro

 Is there some way to turn off Appcode's use of High Performance Graphics? I see that usage on Activity Monitor. The problem is that on my model of Macbook Pro there is a well-known hardware fault that causes GPUPanic crashes when graphics mode is switched. Appcode seems to be the only app I use that asks for the High Performance Graphics mode.
