Can I use same GITHUB repo for IntelliJ and WebStorm?

I've been using IntelliJ "File | Settings Repository..." feature to store settings so I can easily add key binding one day and the next pick the changes up when I use another host.

I also use Webstorm and have configured Webstorm and IntelliJ to use the same GITHUB repo. 

Is this supported?

I just looked at the repo and I'm not seeing settings that distinguish the key bindings file (as an example).
