File and Scratch Views

The DataGrip documentation talks about two views: File View and Scratch View. It shows that scratch files appear under the Scratch tab of the view.

I cannot figure out how to get my view to look like the above. Mine appears with scratches as separate folder.

Is there an option I cannot find to cause it to be part of the tab bar?

Hi! We just replaced the tab with the folder. Our fault, we didn't reflect this in documentation yet.

Can you please tel us is there a special need to have a tab? What the reasoning behind this?

It's no biggie. I saw it in the documentation and thought it is was a nice implementation...having it as a tab. But it's not something I have to have. I kind of thought it was just a case of documentation catching up with changes.

I'm trying to put together procedures I want or need to follow for organizing all my support type queries. DataGrip is not great with regards to a "project", like other language IDE's might have. DataGrip has bits and pieces of functionality here and there, and I'm trying to learn them all so I can organize my "stuff".

Thanks for the response.

I think the god idea for you is to store files in folders and attach these folders to DataGrip's project.

Also, you can map these files/folders to data sources. Feel free to write if any questions.
