MacBook Pro has been slowed down 100%

I use RubyMine 2018.1.4 on my MacBook Pro and it has slowed down my MAC considerably.
I am having issues and its affecting my productivity totally.
Can you please suggest what I could do?
RubyMine is the only app i m using on my laptop - there is no other app..

Hello,
could you please check how it goes with RubyMine 2018.2 since there've been performance improvements. In case the problem persists, then please specify whether you notice CPU high usage, high memory consumption or both of them. Does it happen while you're working with a certain project or any of them?
