Check for GIT branch changes on opening project

IT would be awesome if we could set a config per project to check for GIT changes to a specific stream/branch i.e. upstream/staging and alert when opening the project so you don't start doing tons of work for instance and end up with conflicts that need resolving or issues which may have already been fixed.
