Database Tool - Table data comparison only available when Editor Tabs are enabled

I really like the data synchronize feature the Database Tool provides in Intellij (not the same as comparing schema). However, as the title suggests: this is only available if you have Window > Editor Tabs > Tabs placement set to anything other than NONE. I find this really odd. Is this intended behavior? Or is there some other way to do this?
