IDE Settings Sync
已回答
I'm using IDE Settings Sync plugin, but I see it marked as deprecated.
(for sure, it stores settings somewhere on JetBrains servers, correct?)
I see similar plugin Settings Repository but it has very low rating .
(uses public services like github/bitbucket)
is there new official plugin for the sync? the using JetBrains servers is okay for me.

Hi Ernst,
IDE Settings Sync and settings repository are two different ways of sharing your settings, more info - https://www.jetbrains.com/help/clion/sharing-your-ide-settings.html .
The IDE Settings Sync plugin is marked as deprecated in https://plugins.jetbrains.com, because this functionality is bundled now:
Hi Anna
thank you for the reply.
unfortunately the link above is broken from my perspective, anyway, I suppose "two different ways" you mean what I refer in initial post - storing in e.g. github my account vs JetBrains accout, correct?
IDE Settings Sync is okay for me , just a question was that plugin update date is 2017, supposed that is discontinued , and probably will be removed soon. hope it's not so...
I've edited the link, sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes.

As I've written before, this functionality is now bundled with IDE, please don't pay attention to the information on https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/9922-ide-settings-sync.
Do you have the bundled IDE Settings Sync plugin (with the "bundled" mark as on my screenshot) among the installed plugins in File | Settings | Plugins? Do you have any other IDE Settings Sync plugins there?
seems yes. thanks a lot for the confirmation
could you also clarify an account question,
when I'm using regular releases I logged into my account used tor license validation but when I'm using EAP, it doesn't ask me an authorization and I don't log in. will an IDE be synced in this case?
