PyCharm automatically adds a "Square" in my code

Every time i try to type a " or ' it adds a square to my code and give the BAD_CHARACTER error. What do i need to do? im using a macbook pro and i declared the coding to utf-8 #-*- coding: UTF-8 -*-.
