IDEAVim Ctrl + w deletes in insert mode too much

I've found that in insert mode, IDEAVim deletes more than I would expect compared with the default behavior in VIM. Particularly, at the beginning of a line, possibly with some leading whitespace, in IDEAVim , CTRL + w will delete the last work on the *previous* line whereas in VIM, it will delete any leading whitespace and leave the cursor at the first column, or if there is no leading whitespace, it will delete the newline and put the cursor at the end of the previous line. Is there a configuration change to more closely emulate the behavior of VIM?
