Find In Path only works well on my Macbook (with Mojave) when I have one PyCharm window open

I need to use Pycharm's  "Find in File," and have two PyCharm windows open for two different repos for my work. Unfortunately, it fails miserably in this configuration.

When I have only one PyCharm window open, and then use CTRL-Shift-F the "Find in Path," dialog works fine.

When I have another PyCharm window open for another GIT repo the "Find In Path" displays results for a microsecond, flashes off and shows no results.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Workaround it OK to only use one PyCharm window at a time, but "Find in Path," should support multiple PyCharm windows open at the same time.

Is there a bug fix in the works?
