Can't delete Bookmarks in Favorites panel
I'm not sure how I added an extra one, but I can't delete it or the other one. Delete button on my keyboard does nothing. They both give the same right-click menu.

Well, it may sound too obvious but did you try pressing the "minus" button or Delete key on your keyboard?
Please bear in mind that you may want to enable "Show toolbar" option under the gear icon first.
Please open the project's /.idea/workspace.xml file and check if you have this record under " <component name="FavoritesManager">" node.
Check also if renaming the ".idea" folder (e.g. into .idea_bak) and opening this project helps.
I can open the XML file from Finder, but I'd prefer to open it in PHPStorm because it already handles .xml files well. Is there a way to do that?
There's no occurrences of FavoritesManager in the workspace.xml file.
I have a new issue where somehow a file in the repo became a favorite or bookmark or something, in the Favorites panel, and deleting the bookmark deletes the file. I'm not seeing how to just delete the bookmark or favorite or whatever it is.
I can't move it around, the right-click menu has most of the options of the file as if it's in the Project pane, and I'm not seeing an option just to delete the reference. Moving the file out of its folder (from Finder) removes the "bookmark", but bringing it back brings back the bookmark. Deleting the "bookmark" deletes as a "Safe Delete"... I feel like I'm in Bizarro World right now.
The same problem here with IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2020.2.4.
Cesarzea, the thread describes two different issues with bookmarks, both of them have possible solutions posted. Could you please describe yours in a bit more detail? With screenshots maybe.
