CLion 2019.3.4 (#CL-193.6494.38 11/2/2020) Slow on mac?

Hi All,

Since the upgrade to this latest version i find the interface much slower

• annoying modal popup windows "Preparing parameter list"
• Overlays covering what you are trying to type
• Pop-overs from the Frames panel in the debugger overlay the rest of the debugger all by themselves - you have to click away to dismiss them but it isn't always easy to get them to go away!
• If you use "Generate Definition" lightbulb helper (from .h) too quickly after typing it into the .h then the generated definition is not correct!  Missing vars or part of the name even.
• Sometimes it fights me directly - the pop-ups are modal and keystrokes that would fix the problem it is complaining about are missed.  You have to wait or hit esc to dismiss the modal before you can keep typing.

I don't recall the IDE fighting me like this in the past - what can I do to turn it off or put it into the background again please?

Should I roll back? - is there a procedure for this?
