Keep Switcher displayed when releasing keys

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to configure Switcher to remain displayed after releasing Ctrl + Tab?
It's a bit difficult to both keep pressing Ctrl and press another letter to go to the desired tab/window.

Try the 'Recent Files' dialog (`Ctrl+E`). It is essentially a pop-up for the same functionality that remains displayed after invocation.
