Open in selected/active Editor Group even if open in another editor group
已回答
This is a topic I revisit every few years with no success..
How can I change the default behavior of "Go to Class" (ctrl+n) to open class in the active/selected (the last one to have focus) editor group - EVEN if that class is already open in another editor group (I dont want it to jump to this other editor group).
Note: "Go to file" (ctrl+shift+n) seems to work correctly. 2020.1 / Editor Tabs - max 1
Rather change default behavior.

The other annoyance. "Go To Class" let's say I type "Startup" it will show 3 classes (3 startup classes in different projects), it would be handy if it sorted by proxmixity to the last used project. e.g. if i'm working on ClassX in projB then I search startup (which in projA,projB,projC) there's a high likelyhood I will be working on the one for projB rather than the first result of projA/Startup.
please create a feature request on YouTrack to make this (open in current tab group/focus the opened tab) configurable:

By the way, you can hit Shift+Enter to force a class to be opened in a different window.
@... okay I've tried https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-240835
Thanks
