Arranging / order of items in the status bar

With updating IntelliJ and some plugins, my status bar order was rearranged, plus some plugins added elements to it.
Is there any way to rearrange items in the status bar? Or disable plugins from creating status bar items (outside their own setttings, like in a permission)?

Since 2020.1 version you can select which status bar widget you want to be displayed (right-clicking on the status bar). Have you tried it - does it it help?
I've seen that, but that can only enable/disable - I still want to see those widgets, but since installing/removing plugins can completely mess up the order, this helps little. I'd wish there were some more control over this.
