Error highlight in in Markdown fenced code

I've theoretically disabled Error higlighting for Markdown's fenced code blocks but the code still looks heavily highlighted with errors and the red/yellow lightbulbs frequently pop up with suggestions.  i would like to have syntax highlighting in the code fence but without any of the normal code checking I would get if it were "real" code.  Is this possible?  I'm posting this to GoLand but I've had the same problem in IDEA.
