Dictionary Preferences lost on Upgrade

I have my settings synced with my Jet Brains account and I've noticed that each time I upgrade my dictionary preferences are reset from "application-level" to "project-level".  So far, I've noticed this in Intellij, GoLand, and WebStorm. Is there any way to get these settings to persist across upgrades?  I'm using the JetBrains Toolbox app to manage my installations and upgrades.
