How to disable this annoying hint/tooltip/popup?

First, can anyone tell me what this code blocking menace is called? Perhaps knowing that I could find the setting to disable it.
Short of that, does anyone know how to turn these off? I never see them on OSX, only when I'm coding on linux.
Intellij 2020.2 on Ubuntu Linux 2020.4 authoring Scala code.

Settings (Preferences on macOS) | Editor | General | Code Completion | Parameter Info | Show parameter name hints on completion -> disable.
Thank you, that is relly annoying and probably it worth to switch it off by default. I'm googling this second time to disable )
