Trying to "Create a new repository from intellij-platform-plugin-template" but getting this error

I am trying to create a new Plugin, using the gitHub template as mentioned here https://jetbrains.org/intellij/sdk/docs/tutorials/github_template.html
But seeing this error

This is really a question about GitHub, most probably using "." (dot) character in repository name is not allowed.
