Idea 2020.3.1 GUI is very slow compared to 2020.2.4

I tried upgrading from 2020.2.4 to 2020.3 (and 2020.3.1) but I rolled back.
I am using Idea on a RedHat VM with a remote display (can't run it on my local hardware) and working remote (so over the internet, not on a LAN).
The 2020.2.4 release was running fine (as far as it goes in this setup). But after moving to the 2020.3.1 release the performance is much worse:
- switching editors takes 2 seconds
- Typing text has a big delay
- Resizing panels is tricky sometimes it works, sometimes it does not... but it is damn slow if it does.
Are there ways to find the cause for this or is this a known issue ?

I am using toolbox to manage different versions rubymine, and I installed 2020.2.4 and 2020.3.
Version 2020.4 very well in my mbp16, But 2020.3 too slowly.
Even if I removed all plugins, the issue can also not be resolved.
I used two versions rubymine to open same project.
When I changed some filea by git command in rubymine or outer rubymine(ex, via iTerm2), the scanningfor gem requirements will run and run for a long and long time, I can not do anything during the running, ex, click, select,,,,
Even if the scanning finished, 10 seconds will be taken til the operation became normally.
