python interpreter selector missing

In previous versions of PyCharm, there was a menu in the lower right corner of the screen that showed the python interpreter for the current project, and allowed you to change it.

After upgrading to the most recent version, it is no longer there. How do I get it back?

Update: after closing the project and re-opening, it is now there. Strange.

This can happen if you accidentally right click and hide it from the status bar. 'Python Interpreter' should be checked in this menu:

The interpreter selector disappears sometimes after opening files,  previously did not hide "Python Interpreter". To get it back as a temp fix, uncheck and check "Python Interpreter" from the status bar.

Hi, having the same issue, would like to have the interpreter selector on the status bar but right-click does not reveal an option to attach it. Is there another way to add it?

Hi, thanks! I just updated PyCharm to 2022.1.2 (it was 2022.1.1 before), yet the client shows its current version is 2021.3. How can I update the client version?

Ahh, sorry, my bad. The fix is not released yet since it depends on

Oh, I see, thanks! When is it expected to be released?

I have the same problem as well. Using PyCharm through JetBrains Client version 2021.3 and there is no Python Interpreter. When will this feature be available?
