Ctrl + Tab release does not trigger a switch on Linux?

The 'Ctrl + Tab' behaviors very strange on recent versions (both Ver 2020 and 2021) of Linux CLion. The release of this key combination does not trigger a switch onto the current selected page as expected. I have to press one more 'Ctrl + Enter' to let it happen.
Is it possible to let the key release do the trigger? How?
