How to have a console- or (Html-able)general-outputpanel on the right side to NewErrorTreeViewPanel ?

I can create the left tree-containing panel with NewErrorTreeViewPanel
But how can the right panel (color-able console or JPanel in this case?) be displayed ? I can't find a good example or API for this.
