Re-bind double shift to Search Everywhere

Recently I've noticed the Search Everywhere isn't working in my Intellij IDEA. I saw this post about it but invalidating the caches didn't fix it for me.
Opening the Keymap I see that "Search Everywhere" is not bound to anything. I want to re-bind double tap shift to this but I don't know how.
I think it would be just Shift in the first box and then Shift again as a second stroke but it's not letting me do that.

Depsite double shift is not specified for Search Everywhere in Keymap settings it should work without assigning it. Does it work if you assign another shortcut to this action and use it?
Try to disable all third-party plugins and update to the latest build from https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download .
I am facing the same issue, started happening after I update my Idea to the latest version via toolbox. It won't even allow me to add a shortcut by pressing shift. Double shift if very important, without it I am paralysed.
I assume there's a third-party software conflict.
I use this feature all the time.
I was recently assigned a Windows machine and couldn't get it to work.
I disabled a Windows shortcut to an accessibility feature it calls “Sticky Keys”, which can be activated by hitting the shift key five times in a row.
I also assigned, reset, and re-assigned the “Search Everywhere" function, so it may not be the “Sticky Keys”, but I think that's what fixed it.
Although it has been a long time since I asked the question, I also encountered the same problem and found this post.
I've found a solution, hope it helps anyone who's been directed here.

First follow the official instructions, find the "Disable" function, select Disable- Save, then Able - Save, the double shift function will be normal.
By the way, some third-party input methods will also cause function failure.
For example, I personally use the ASUS Chinese input method.
