Generate shared indexes for jars

We have a decent number of internal projects (>20) that each refer to bunch of internal artifacts (100+). 

Given this number there is a huge optimization potential for us to pre-build shared indexes for any internal artifact we release and let teams utilize those. I have scoured internet looking for instructions to generate shared indexes from jars but could not find anything.

Do folks here have any idea about how one can achieve building shared indexes off of artifactory OR local M2?
