Just upgraded to phpstorm and the cursor gets lost if i click off phpstorm and return. I thought it was the vim pluging that was installed but not enabled. but I deleted that and the issue persists.
Does anyone have a fix for this? Its really annoying. If I can't find a fix soon I need to downgrade.
This is what it usually is

Reverting to 2022.2.2 doesn't fix the issue and there's a host of related connected issue. The system is really screwed up. Need to get back to a working state.
Other issues:
* Because the focus seems to be the issue when I change from the editor pane to the git section usually cmd+d will open the 'differences' dialogue but now instead of that, the last line that I was on in the editor is duplicated. cmd+d is duplicate section in the editor.
I've run the FILE -> REPAIR IDE several times all the way to the end and run FILE -> INVALIDATE CACHES. The issue persists.
Got to get work done. Any suggestions about how to get back to a working state would be appreciated. Going to start uninstalling plugins in the hope that helps.
Its fixed in: 2022.3 eap build 223.6160.85
Using that.
Are you using Synergy software on that Mac? If that's the case, than it's https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JBR-4782.
Yes, an open source equivalent of Synergy, I do use "Barrier KVM" https://github.com/debauchee/barrier
Ubuntu linux is the server and the macbook the client and PhpStorm is running on the macbook.
Thanks. The fix will be included in the 2022.3 IDE version.
It's still happening. Less, but the cursor is still going away occasionally. I've found cmd+g for goto allows me to get it back faster than the 'find' dialogue but action still needs to be taken to get the cursor to return.
Could you please share your PhpStorm | About info?
you want this?
ah I see what the issue is. I opened it via cmd+space| Phpstorm. when I should have opened it via cmd+space | PhpStorm EAP. That will fix it im sure. Sorry.
No worries, thanks for checking this.
