New UI: Stacking Project and Structure Views

I used to be able to view the project and structure views simultaneously, stacked on top of each other. This was achieved by dragging the Structure button to the bottom left. With the new UI, I cannot achieve this. When I drag the Structure button to the bottom left, the view takes the entire bottom portion of the window. None of the options seem to work. Am I missing something? If not, can I request this ability for the new UI as well?

The split view, in which two tool windows could be open on the same side, is now only supported for horizontal tool windows.
