Build.Gradle taking forever to sync after importing build.gradle for the first time

Okay so basically I am trying to make a Fabric Minecraft Mod and I was following the steps and it told me to import the build.gradle into IntelliJ so I did and its been around 45 minutes and its still doing the sync thing where it is force downloading files. I wasn't sure if this was a normal thing or if my pc is just being slow.

If you run this Gradle build in the terminal, outside of the IDE, is it slow as well?
Sorry for posting about it. Apparently it had frozen or stopped and I just had to cancel it and restart it and then it went pretty fast. Thanks for the help though! :D
