Another thing could be that you're pressing Enter while code isn't analysed yet. Please check that you don't have the "eye" blinking in the top right corner.

You may try to list all paths in link_directories(dir1 dir2 ..) and then try to specifically link needed libraries in target_link_libraries(<target> ... <item>... ...)
