I don't think that your configuration is incorrect. There are known IDEA problems with VSS integration that are causing such behavior on your system. All I can say is please wait for IDEA 6.0.2.If ...

myPlugin.FileOpenedProjectComponent is not present in plug-in distribution. Are you sure it's packaged properly? Attach a sample project to reproduce.

Make sure you have all the dependent plug-ins enabled. Python plug-in requires Coverage enabled. Did you disable it?
