Please look into the [IntelliJ IDEA installation]/bin folder. Probably "externalStrippedSwfs" folder is there.

View -> Toolbar.By the way you can find whatever you need in IntelliJ IDEA using Help -> Find Action. You could type 'toolbar' there to find where's the option.

The most frequently used buttons on the mnain toolbar ar Compile/Run/Debug. So when toolbar is hidden and Navigation bar is shown then these buttons are placed at the right side of the Navigation bar.

Indeed there's a great performance regression in ActionScript and MXML in IntelliJ IDEA 13.0.2. The fix is in progress.

Thank you for the detailed report! BTW why did you need to install Android Studio and Android SDK? ADT -installRuntime command doesn't require it.
