We plan to eventually bring same features as available for Java in IntelliJ IDEA including Extract Method, Introduce Variable etc. The roadmap for these features is not available yet.

Its not even too hard for JetBrains dev team - we already implemented these and much more intelligent features for JavaScript, Groovy and Ruby which are quite complex and dynamic languages. However...
