Hi, Sean,By default IDEA tries to use artifactId as a project name, In the case it cannot read the project it uses itsdirectory's name.Thanks,Anton Makeev

Problems are shown in the Maven Projects tree, if you point at the project that is underlined somehow, you'll see a tooltip with problem description.
