Yves,I've created a bug report for missing error message: http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/OC-4628.As for why it builds in Xcode - I cannot say. Please let us know if you find out.

Yep, it opens the completion popup automatically.But you can simply leave 'expression' blank and will be able to invoke smart compltion manually.
