IDEA consoles handles them by itself. E.g. with arrow keys you can navigate and select text, and Tab invokes completion in those consoles where it is supported.

At a project level - yes, absolutely. Please check also that modules have correct SDK too.

Yes, it enabled by default.The app itself doesn't have any issues. The question is if your system configured to have enough watch handles. Default 8K number is ridiculously small.
