Could you please post a piece of log with corresponding error message (plus some lines before and after)? May be I'll be able to make IDEA produce a more helpful message.About speed and memory cons...

So far there wasn't any demand for such functionality - I doubt it's possible in IDEA 11 timeframe. Please file an issue.
