The compiler settings for the project lets you configure "resources" mappings for things like this. The defaults include *.xml, *.properties etc. etc. and you can extend that as you wish..

So it isn't... I hadn't noticed that before - personally I think I'd rather have this as a dockable tool window (or part of the new debug window) - would make working on the laptop easier.Maybe so...
