I think I found what i'd need...subtrees (submodules?)... never used them so i've to dig some documentation and verify it's possible to integrate this strategy in phpStorm;)

thank you;)currently I'm forced to continue to use var_dump/echo on such servers (when locale copies don't work)...hoped to have some workaround like phpEdit did years agohave a nice day
