This is quite an old thread now, but I just ran into this problem... TL;DR Go to Preferences > Languages & Frameworks > Flask and ensure the Flask Integration box is checked. Click Apply, click OK...

Hi Andrey, Thank you - the problem, as suggested in the queries you linked to, was that the Hard Wrap guide was disabled. I hadn’t imagined that I would need it to be active before the Visual Guide...
