selena uses its own config directory and caches. and it gets it's own entry in add/remove progs.

i never had a problem. the most time was used for scanning directories and files for changes. the hotswap itself was always done within seconds, even if there were a dozen changes classes.

you shouldn't want to use the feature on them. or the iterator could be cloned using some secret method that can clone anything (like a modified objectin/outputstream)
