Font rendering in this new custom build looks really bad to me. Glyphs are uneven, with some strokes too thin, almost invisible.

I did find out my problem — it turned out there's no real problem. My GPU has a weird bug where it detects a secondary screen when there's none — IDEA was then getting “displayed” on this nonexiste...
