Most likely not, unfortunately. It's a common practice to implement fixes only for current or previous release versions.

Yup, that doesn't look superb. But issues are addressed based on their vote weight & team priorities. This one has ~30 votes (which is not very little) - hopefully it would be reviewed anytime soon...
