Don't think so. If you are watching a topic then thissetting determines wether you get an e-mail for updates,but it does not change the watches itself.

You mean when you use the inline refactoring "Introduce variable"?Press shift-tab until you are on the "final" and select the empty text instead. IDEA will remember it for the next time.

I just checked again with "getChildrenReference()" and IDEA 682 (pretty old, I admit) suggests "children", "reference" and "list" (because return type is list).
